Sylvia joined RGS in 2003, hoping to find a career that would allow her to do what she naturally enjoys: interacting with people. Starting in the position of Office Manager/HR Assistant, Sylvia quickly increased her knowledge and skillset of the HR profession. While advancing through her HR career she grew the trust and support of her peers at RGS. Today, Sylvia is an experienced HR professional who manages the RGS workforce. Her days include planning, coordinating, and leading corporate initiatives to support associate growth and development and the strategic direction of the company.

During her time at RGS, Sylvia has been involved in the planning and execution of corporate activities to include the RGS United Way Campaign, the Annual Awards Banquet Committee, and numerous social events to establish camaraderie among associates. She personally enjoys welcoming each new associate to the RGS family and does not feel her day is complete unless she has helped someone.

Sylvia double majored in Management and Economics, receiving her degree from Hood College in Frederick, MD. Later she obtained her Masters of Business Administration from University of Maryland University College. She also holds a Professional in Human Resource (PHR) certification.

When away from RGS, Sylvia enjoys cheering on her twin sons as they play basketball and baseball, and swim. She enjoys traveling to picturesque beaches, warm summer evenings on the deck, reading, and dining out.
