Laura is an accomplished project management professional specializing in recruitment, marketing, and communications. She has been recognized for her positive, can-do attitude and outstanding customer service skills and was recently awarded the 2014 RGS Great Team Award. She came to RGS in 2014 and quickly thrust herself into the hectic recruiting travel season that the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Enterprise Talent Management Office (ETMO) Team experiences in the fall of each year, providing recruitment, communications, and project management support. Laura also serves as the task lead on the University Recruiting Partnership initiative, reaching out to university career centers in order to educate them on NAVSEA careers and build long-lasting relationships. Additionally, she supports advertising strategy development for NAVSEA recruitment advertising.
Laura earned a BA in Communication Studies with a minor in History from Christopher Newport University, and is currently pursuing an MBA from Virginia Tech. She is a native Virginian and takes advantage of the numerous wineries and mountains Virginia has to offer. When they can, she and her boyfriend love to take their husky, Lexi, hiking. In whatever free time she can get between work and graduate school, Laura is passionate about travel, especially to anywhere with a beach, where she hopes to become an accomplished scuba diver someday. She is an avid cross-fitter and runner, having run four half marathons and several mud runs.
