Dr. Steven P. Thomas
Steven joined RGS in 2011 and plays an integral part on the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Enterprise Talent Management Office (ETMO) Team, and presently serves as the RGS Human Capital Management Line of Business Lead. He is a recipient of the 2014 RGS Great Team Award, as well as the NAVSEA Team Excellence Award in support of the Navy Civilian Careers Recruiting, Diversity, and Affinity Recruiting Partnership.
Steven has over 20 years of experience working in multinational organizations, higher education/university administration institutions focusing on change management, organization design/effectiveness interventions. Prior to joining RGS, Steven was the Manager for Talent Management at Raytheon Technical Services Company responsible for leading high potential talent pipeline identification, management, and development. Before Raytheon, Steven was the Manager for Talent Management & Organization Development at Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems and Global Solutions, responsible for executing strategies for high potential talent identification, management, and development. In addition, he was responsible for building and deploying strategic change capabilities.
Steven earned his PhD in Human Resource Development from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an MA in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, Main Campus, and a BA in Communication from Jacksonville State University. Steven resides in Cheverly, Maryland. In his free time, he enjoys international travel, spending quality time with family and friends, as well as attending social/networking opportunities and volunteering his time, expertise, and talents to several nonprofit organizations within the DC area.
